Theming is the act of applying a unifying concept to create a holistic integrated organization of space. Themed spaces may include theme parks, restaurants, casinos, museums, airports, resorts and other spaces. Themed environments can include environmental art.

Theming can be as basic as any good design or it can involve specific themes created to elicit specific moods or cultural memories. Ekistics strives to include unique or message-bearing elements that support the design theme. Ekistics has specific experience theming communities, greenways/parks, resort style pools and residential estates.
