Site grading is crucial to the preservation of trees and natural features and is an integral part of what we do. We are licensed as landscape architects and landscape engineers but unlike some other professionals we practice the more difficult side of our profession. We routinely tackle challenging grading and site engineering issues that range from micro-grading of wetland habitat zones to mass grading of steeply sloping sites with grand trees.

HCC Southshore

Innovative site design features for water management and the outdoor environment were integrated by a collaborative effort of Ekistics Design Studio working with the project A/E team. The campus parking lot was designed with bio-swales and a series of compartmentalized detention ponds to effectuate a treatment train effect. Continue reading
